Pilar is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who supports Individuals and Couples. She strives to support clients in developing a stronger connection with themselves and others. In session, she focuses on establishing trust, identifying client’s strengths, and building the confidence to live authentically. As a queer therapist living with chronic illness, Pilar understands the integral role identity plays in life and approaches therapy from an intersectional, anti-oppressive perspective. She meets clients from all backgrounds with humility, curiosity, and respect for their unique lived experience. Pilar is sex and kink positive, affirming of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, supportive of ethical non-monogamy and different relationship configurations.

Sessions with me are casual but intentional. Sessions can range from flexible and free-flowing or structured and solution-focused. Depending on client goals, we can focus on gathering important information about the issue at hand, processing and exploring thoughts and emotions, or developing practical skills to use outside the therapy room.

A: TV/Movies, reading (mostly romance), cooking, running/strength training,  crochet, journaling, pop culture, cozy gaming, social justice.

A: Spiders but I have been working on being more tolerant of them in my apartment.
